Kathy Uvaro, LMT MA13777
As the founder and director of HealthQuest Wellness Center in 1996, Kathy brought a unique perspective to the idea of wellness as a multi-disciplinary approach. Her vision is being realized in the development of HealthQuest as a community resource for health and healing through various holistic modalities, such as Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Skin Care, Energetic Therapies, Hypnosis, Nutritional Counseling, Spa Therapies and more.
HealthQuest is founded on the principles of “wellness”, emphasizing prevention of disease through the connection of Mind, Body, Spirit and healing the “whole” person.
Kathy attributes the successful growth of the HealthQuest business to the talents and personalities of the professional therapists and staff working with her. She upholds the deepest appreciation for the members of the community who have endorsed HealthQuest, including the support from various physicians, Parrish hospital, and many organizations. Graduating from the Space Coast Massage Institute in Melbourne, Florida, Kathy has held a Licensed Massage Therapist degree since 1992. Kathy has had advanced training in Russian Medical Massage, myofascial therapy, neuromuscular, stretching, sports rehabilitation, various Chinese and energy medicine modalities and more.
Continuing to serve the community with high integrity and expertise is Kathy’s primary focus. She believes that the future of medicine is an integration of the best of holistic and Western persuasions, with emphasis on prevention of disease through nutrition and care of the human energy system.
Lesley Williams, LMT/CT (MA21518)
English born Lesley Williams, LMT/CT has been an integral part of the HealthQuest family since graduating from the Advanced Massage Institute in Cocoa Beach Florida in 1996.
Lesley has had extensive training in CORE Myofascial Therapy and Judith Walker’s Neuromuscular techniques. She is a Licensed Colonhydrotherapy Hygienist, has a diploma in Reflexology and is a Certified Medical Massage Practitioner. Additionally, Lesley holds Master degrees in Usui, Tibetan, and Karuna® Reiki Sytems.
“Several intensive Human Gross Anatomy classes have inspired my deep respect for the miraculous human form and the wonders of the Mind, Body, and Spirit connection,” states Lesley. Through this reverence, Lesley offers her healing techniques as much more of a ministry than a job, more of a vocation than a career.
In a lighthearted and unique approach to wellness, Lesley’s patients and clients also benefit from her “Laughter is Spiritual Healing” philosophy and coaching.
Rehabilitative massage, especially for sinus relief, TMJ, plantar fasciitis, injuries and pain are Lesley’s specialties. She also offers relaxation massage with or without guided meditation and prayer.
Lesley is appreciated as one of the “founding” members of HealthQuest, contributing immensely to the company’s success and development through her professionalism and dedication.
Pam Mitchell, Skin Care Specialist
Pam has been practicing skin care since 1994. In addition to 20 years experience, she holds a 100 Hour Diploma, as well as numerous certificates from the International Dermal Institute in Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando, Florida.
With previous ownership of a skin care salon, Pam has been appreciated as integral and instrumental to the development of the professionalism and diversity of the skin care program at HealthQuest since 2000.
Pam’s expertise ranges from clinical treatments for acne, rosacea, aging skin, (and more) to facials, microdermabrasion, microcurrent facelift, waxing, eyelash and eyebrow tinting, and acid/enzyme peels. She is stands by the Dermalogica line of exceptional skin care products, suited for every skin type and problem.
Pam believes that everyone can have beautiful and radiant skin. Clients faithful to Pam’s facial rejuvenation recommendations are always pleased with the results and enthusiastic about the experience.
Dory Valentine, LMT (MA 17195)
The inspiration to become a massage therapist was driven by Dory’s own experience as a patient. She had sustained a shoulder injury that was entirely relieved by soft tissue manipulation, or therapeutic massage techniques. “No other treatment had been effective…massage restored my range of motion and relieved pain,” Dory states.
Dory attended Reese Institute in Oviedo, Florida, graduating in 1992. She has been practicing in the Titusville area in various medical, fitness and salon settings. She has been part of the HealthQuest team since 2001.
Dory has increased her practitioner’s skills with advanced training in neuromuscular therapy, Healing Touch, Thai massage, sports, cranial release, and pre-natal, and deep tissue techniques.
Teaching Yoga has also been one of Dory’s passions since 1994. She recommends the integration of Yoga with massage therapy to improve flexibility and relieve pain from repetitive occupational and postural habits as well as rehabilitation from injuries.
As a highly sought-after therapist at HealthQuest, Dory’s patients/clients appreciate the range of therapeutic techniques and skills that she offers.
Zoe Magill, LMT
Zoe graduated from Keiser College in 2006 with a diploma in Massage Therapy. In addition to 1000 hours of specialized training, Zoe has achieved advanced education in neuromuscular, myofascial, hot stone, cupping, and spa modalities.
With a strong desire to help people heal, Zoe enjoys working with clients/patients with all types of pain and stress. She specializes in massage for fibromyalgia, headaches, athletic injuries, post surgical pain and stress reduction.
Zoe has been a talented and valuable member of the HealthQuest team since 2007. She believes wholeheartedly that massage is the best way to prevent illness through stress reduction as it can influence the Mind, Body and Spirit.
Svetlana Beasley, A.P.
Svetlana Beasley is an Acupuncture Physician and a Diplomat in Acupuncture (NCCAOM). She is Board Certified in Acupuncture.
Svetlana graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine in 2005. Her studies include Acupuncture, Chinese and Western Herbs, Dietary Therapy, Acupoint Injections, Moxibustion, Tui-Na, and other modalities.
Additionally, Svetlana has received advanced training in Auriculotherapy (Ear Acupuncture.)
The integration of classical acupuncture with the latest in modern technology (such as far-infrared radiation, cold laser, and microcurrent) give Svetlana superior results in treating many conditions.
Svetlana specializes in the treatment of pain (including fibromyalgia and RA), migraines, sinus, weight loss, digestive issues and more. Effective Non-Needle treatments are also a specialty.
HealthQuest Wellness Center has enjoyed Svetlana’s affiliation as a knowledgeable and trusted practitioner since 2008. She is a member of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the American Acupuncture Council, and the Life Extension Foundation.
Jordan Johnson, LMT
Jordan graduated with honors from the Space Coast Health Institute in Melbourne, Florida in 2002. She began her career in a spa setting, becoming highly skilled in both hydrotherapy and body treatment services. Subsequently, she practiced in a rehabilitative physical therapy office, concentrating on effective pain management strategies.
In the fall of 2004, Jordan joined the HealthQuest Wellness Center team, where she was able to harmonize her skills in all specialties.
Jordan has received advanced training in Myofascial, and Neuromuscular therapies, as well as Thai Massage. Her specialties include back pain, carpal tunnel, neck injuries, thoracic outlet syndrome, and Thai stretching protocols to increase range of motion and reduce pain.
“It is my goal to achieve the best healing outcomes without discomfort to my clients through the skillful application of various therapeutic modalities,” states Jordan.
Julie Marttila, LMT (MA 45357)
Julie joined the staff of HealthQuest in 2005 as a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in state-of-the-art “energy” modalities. With a background in psychology as an Institutional Counselor, Julie is also a Certified Hypnotherapist through the Hypnotic Research Society, Inc.
Additional to therapeutic and relaxation massage modalities, Julie has certification in Crystal and Sound Therapies. These therapies influence imbalances in the energy system, allowing an enhancement of the normal regenerative processes of Mind, Body and Spirit.
A profound healing experience for the client/patient is Julie’s signature as she also employs “Emotional Freedom Technique,” educates on the use of Bach Flower Remedies for emotional well-being, and utilizes the “Bowen Therapy” form of body work for realignment of muscular structure and other maladies.
As a Reiki Master Teacher, Julie also leads classes in the Usui, Tibetan, and Karuna® Reiki Systems. These systems employ hands-on healing techniques endorsed by many hospitals, hospice, and individuals motivated to help others and themselves.
As a passionate and gifted practitioner, Julie is a cherished asset to the HealthQuest professional team.
